“Stillness is a place of compassion for all aspects of yourself, and that’s a reward that’s worth the journey.”
Shine a light on your inner self
Our do-able & accessible silent meditation retreat is a lot more diverse than you might think.
Our practice of meditation and its intention goes beyond relaxation. Observing your inner thought patterns can teach greater stress tolerance and emotional balance that lasts long after the retreat is over. True stillness removes the pressure of outside influences, allowing you to examine what really brings joy and meaning to your life.
This retreat is an opportunity to seek out stillness (and silence) and learn some beautiful meditation and mindfulness tools. It’s a totally different experience to our Inner Joy program. And you’ll explore silence and meditation with your quiet introspection.
We’ll guide you through meditations, talk about what meditation can actually be (it’s not just about being seated and drawing within!) including walking meditation, mindfulness activities and through yoga and nature connection.

True silence is a deeply personal experience that’s different for everybody; the truth is, there’s no way to know exactly what will happen once you’re alone with yourself.
Commence your journey into stillness on the Friday evening at 5pm and finish up on the Sunday at 11am – giving you time to travel back home with some beautiful renewed insights into slowing down and having moments of stillness in every day life. You will explore total silence for most of the program however there will be opportunities for some discussion and interaction too.
Accommodation
The accomodation for our 2-Night Journey Into Stillness is in our retreat house, separate to the retreat centre. Our Happy Buddha House is a friendly communal space with newly renovated twin-share rooms. The bathrooms are clean, shared facilities. The kitchen is home-style and we’ll be preparing your nourishing, vegetarian meals. Other communal areas include our lounge area with a toasty fire-place and a small dining room for meal time and for relaxing. Our beautiful yoga balcony, located next to the house, is our meditation and workshop space.

It’s amazing what a weekend of silence & meditation can do
Map your mental landscape and tap into your inner thoughts, emotions, memories and ideas…
For the physical, a meditation retreat
- Calms the nervous system, builds immunity, promotes sleep, reduces blood pressure
For your mental health
- Softens the attitude, restores appreciation, creates mental clarity, develops contentment, opens creativity
For your emotional health
- Dissolves fear, heals stress, develops compassion, builds better relationships
For the spiritual you
- Experience of oneness, gain higher perspective, make better life choices, feel free, inner wisdom is readily available

A Silent Meditation Retreat can feel a little challenging as there’s that uncomfortable feeling of sitting still and being silent. And we don’t realise how we will feel until we completely stop. Even if your mind takes over and tells you it’s too hard, or not for you, the key to a Silent Meditation Retreat is to trust the process.
The beauty of this retreat is that meditation comes in many forms, including seated and silent, during guided yoga nidra, within the long, juicy hold of yin yoga and walking in nature.
