Namaste! It's time to plan your Spring retreat 🌿🌸

Silent meditation retreat

Recharge and refresh #escapecitylife.
Reconnect with yourself in the healing surrounds of the Blue Mountains NSW.

Absolutely loved this experience. I did the silent retreat (journey into stillness) and found it perfect. Facilitator Peter was amazing, beds so comfy, food was incredible. Coupled with toasty warm fires (winter), a beautiful mountains setting and an informative and well planned meditation program, I highly recommend you do this 2 day retreat. I came away so restored and with lots of tools and techniques to continue the journey at home.

Why join our silent meditation retreat?

It seems as if everything in the way we choose to live takes us away from ourselves. In a loud and distracting world with that feeling of being ‘too busy’, the noises, stress and anxiety.

This way of life then becomes our daily lived experience which we perceive as ‘normal’. But it’s not normal and neither are humans designed to live this way.

Our silent meditation retreat will kick start a new way forward where you live every day aware, connected and energised. A no-pressure environment in which you can fully relax and recharge.

Our silent meditation retreat caters for everyone; from beginners to regular meditators to those wanting a break from the hustle and noise of city life.

Break away from the distractions that keep us lingering on the shallow surfaces of the mind. The stillness of SILENCE is one way of getting there. And that’s the gift of this silent meditation retreat.

Shine a light on your inner self

Our do-able & accessible silent meditation retreat in the Blue Mountains NSW is a lot more diverse than you might think.

Our practice of meditation and its intention goes beyond relaxation. Observing your inner thought patterns can teach greater stress tolerance and emotional balance that lasts long after the retreat is over.

True stillness removes the pressure of outside influences, allowing you to examine what really brings joy and meaning to your life.

This retreat is an opportunity to seek out stillness (and silence) and learn some beautiful meditation and mindfulness tools. It’s a totally different experience to our Inner Joy program. And you’ll explore silence and meditation with your quiet introspection.

We’ll guide you through meditations, talk about what meditation can actually be (it’s not just about being seated and drawing within!) including walking meditation, mindfulness activities and through yoga and nature connection.

If I could use just one word to describe my recent silent meditation weekend retreat, it would be "magical".The lovely people who cooked and served delicious food with such humility, the inspirational facilitator Peter, the intimate group of people I was lucky enough to share silent smiles and nods with, the views, the chickens, the butterflies, the native birds, the cats, the mountain air, the various different meditation sessions, the sounds, the beautiful and eclectic house with reminders everywhere to be present, the arts and crafts, the books, restful sleep each night - everything worked magically to bring back the sparkle in my eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

About our Silent Meditation Retreat

The Silent Meditation Retreat is a journey for individuals & held in small retreat groups. We recommend couples participate in the Inner Joy retreat instead.

We hold the 2-Night weekend Silent Meditation Retreat every weekend. You’ll commence Friday at 5pm and finish up on your final day at 11am – giving you time to travel back home with some beautiful renewed insights into slowing down and having moments of stillness in everyday life.

Throughout your retreat, you will explore total silence for most of the program however there will be opportunities for some discussion and interaction too.

I've done a few retreats now and have recently participated in the weekend silent retreat at Happy Buddha. I found it exactly as advertised. Facilitator was fantastic, skilled and knowledgeable. It was a well-balanced program, catering for the experience and needs of individuals. An excellent way to recharge and refresh. The staff were great, beautiful venue and setting and awesome food. I definitely recommend.

How the silent meditation retreat works

This Silent Meditation Retreat includes workshops, vegetarian meals and simple, twin-share accommodation with shared bathrooms in our Happy Buddha communal house.

This is a silent retreat which means we encourage you to experience introspection. Of course, if you need to speak to your facilitator or chef please do. Note: with any new challenge or experience there can be triggering moments so please take steps to always be kind to yourself.

For you to get the most from this experience, this retreat is strictly technology-free. For your peace of mind you will be able to provide loved ones with a contact phone number should they need to get in touch with you. Your phone and devices are to be handed in for safe keeping upon check-in.

Please note, we have a very friendly communal house cat so please note if you have allergies. Massages are available however there are limited 1-hour sessions ~ please enquire on your arrival.

Accommodation

The accommodation for Journey Into Stillness is in our retreat house, separate to the retreat centre. Our Happy Buddha House is a friendly communal space with newly renovated twin-share rooms. The bathrooms are clean, shared facilities. The kitchen is home-style where we’ll be preparing your nourishing, vegetarian meals.

Other communal areas include our lounge area with a toasty fire-place and a small dining room for meal time and for relaxing. Our beautiful yoga balcony, located next to the house, is our meditation and workshop space.

Silent Meditation Retreat package

For $649 per person, your weekend includes an inspiring program, nourishing vegetarian meals and twin-share room. Bathrooms are shared amenities.
