"Whilst sitting in extended silence, stillness and solitude during a silent retreat in the Blue Mountains, I was confronted with what the process of healing looks like vs what it is. The experience was challenging, but ultimately exactly what I needed at this point in time. During free time, I was out in nature, exploring waterfalls, contemplating and journalling. Here are a few snippets of wisdom that resonated with me: ⛅️ 
'We already have everything we need. There is no need for self-improvement. All these trips that we lay on ourselves—the fearing that we’re bad and hoping that we’re good, the identities that we so dearly cling to, the rage, and the jealousy—never touch our basic wealth. They are like clouds that temporarily block the sun. But all the time our warmth and brilliance are right here. This is who we really are.' Pema Chödrön.

A recipe from the gorgeous Yara ~ and it possibly could result in the best brownie you've ever baked 🥰
Yara’s Brownies 🌸
Dry Ingredients:
1 cup raw sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup self-raising GF flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
Wet Ingredients:
1/2 cups vegetable oil (rice bran)
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ cup soy milk
2 TBSP ground flax seeds mixed with 2 TBSP water, leave for 5 mins to ‘set’ 
1. Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a smaller baking tray with baking paper
2. Whisk all dry ingredients together.
3. Whisk all wet ingredients together.
4. Combine with a spatula, being careful not to over-mix.
5. Bake for approximately 30 mins (checking for ‘doneness’ with a toothpick or cake tester) and leave to cool for about 1 hour.
6. Slice up in desired portions
7. Serve with options like chocolate frosting, berry sauce, or enjoy as is!
This adjusted retreat recipe should yield approximately 10-12 servings in a tray.
