Frequently Asked Questions
Curious about catering, timing or bringing your own chef? We’ve got you. Here are answers to some of the most common questions facilitators ask.
What are the payment terms?
A 30% non-refundable deposit is necessary to secure the dates. This payment constitutes a contract between you and Happy Buddha Retreats, and your acceptance of our T&Cs. The 70% balance payment is due 30 days prior to your event.
What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is at 4PM on the first day and check-out is at 11AM on the last day.
Can I come earlier / later?
Yes, depending on availability. Extra lunch on check-in / check-out day costs $25 per person. Additional rental of the space costs $90/h in the Hotel and $45/h in the House.
Do you provide yoga props?
Yes, we do provide mats, bolsters, blocks and straps in the yoga room.
Can I bring my own chef or self-cater?
Sorry, no, we love our one too much 🙂
Can I request meals with meat?
No, we’re a vegetarian retreat centre.
Can we take psychoactive substances?
No, we’re a strictly substance-free retreat.
Can I pay less if I bring less guests?
We privatise the venue for you regardless of the number of guests that you bring. Therefore the price is per set of two nights, not per guest.
Can I book without paying the non-refundable deposit?
Venue hire is highly sort after and therefore a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the dates. We will not hold the space via email.
Does each venue have its own swimming pool?
Yes! Both are a-la-natural and not heated.
Do guests from each venue interact?
No, they tend not to. Unless of course, they go for a walk around the grounds and they may say hello to each other.

Is there wifi access?
No, however, mobile networks work ok.
Can I use the firepit during my retreat?
The hotel has a small outdoor fire pit available for use. The house has a contained bonfire area. We charge $40 per use of pit or bonfire. Please note, there is a total fire ban in the Blue Mountains from October 1st until March 31st, therefore requests made within those dates won’t be considered.
Will you help us market our retreat?
We will provide select imagery for you to use in your marketing, however, we will not proactively market your retreat. That’s up to you!
